The Office of Emergency Management urges residents who suffered
property damage because of flooding are strongly urged to report damages, along with images
and video, to the Texas Division of Emergency Management’s (TDEM) website

Kaufman County Wildfires Trigger Disaster Declaration

Kaufman County Judge Hal Richards has issued a disaster declaration due to
widespread severe property damage resulting from an almost 500-acre large-scale wildfire which is no
longer spreading but continues to burn. To make things worse, high winds have been predicted for next
several days which heightens the need for extreme caution.

(ERCOT) is issuing a Conservation Appeal for Wednesday, July 13 between 2-8 p.m. ERCOT is asking
Texans and businesses to voluntarily conserve electricity during this time. Currently, no
system-wide outages are expected.
